We are delighted with our most recent set of GCSE results which demonstrate a significant improvement on outcomes over the past three years, validating the continued effort that has been put into raising our students’ aspirations.

The number of students achieving a grade 4 and above in English and Maths combined has risen by 7% to 57% on last year’s results. English maintained their much improved performance from last year with 66% of students achieving a grade 4 or better. While, Maths achieved an improvement of 7% on last year with 62% of students achieving a grade 4 and above.

The average grade per student has also improved. Across all subjects the average grade for all students has improved on last year and is now grade 4, with 14% of entries graded as 9-7.

There are some significant student achievements, with a special mention to Catalina Bihari who achieved 6 grade 9s and 4 grade 8s and Amber Spencer who achieved 6 grade 9s and 3 grade 8s. Other pupils who also performed significantly well were Connie Evett, Ellie Gidlow and David Hayler who all achieved a mixture of grade 7s, 8s and 9s.

These results reflect all of the hard work students and staff have put into this year and gives our students a good platform to progress into Further Education.
